It is said that our heart can deceive us, that it can make us believe what we are doing is the right thing to do, when in fact it is far from it. My heart beats unusually every time she is next to me. My heart dances every time she looks at me with her big, bright eyes. My heart cries out every time she looks away. I know the heart can be misleading, but I'm willing to risk my future if it means getting to know her better…if it means I get to know her longer. If she finds out who I am, she won't know how to give me the love I long to receive from her.

She's like an enigma, a riddle. No matter how much I learn about her, I will still be far from the truth because what her eyes hide is far beyond what she is willing to share.

Over the past two months, we have entered into such a routine of waking up early with the first sign of light for a morning of passionate sex. After that we have a long day of training, from basic warm-up exercises to a one-on-one duel between all the squad's soldiers.

At first, I had a hard time concentrating on anything but her body so close to me, a few steps away, ready and calling me. But as the days went by, I was almost able to focus my thoughts on training, until one evening I broke down. It was late, and we were alone in the gym. After she defeated me, her closeness caused me to lose control. The possibility that the door would suddenly open and someone would enter hit me even harder with the added excitement of the unknown. I made her mine once again on the thick mattresses for training so that every day when she enters the training compound, she will remember what we have done.

Another time we found ourselves in a firing range, trying new weapons. The first time I entered the shooting range, my eyes widened in bewilderment. I have never seen a room like this, or rather such a large hall. It contained series of surfaces, each part a different hologram simulating a battle. It felt so real that the first second I entered the game, I hesitated. Allegra laughed and said I was soft. I played for a second and after that. I showed her that I was far from it. All the training I received from Roy Randall continued to prove itself from then on.

After an intense day of training, we enter the dining room of the main facility and sit down around the table assigned to our squad. The place is crowded with soldiers. The environment is so different from what I'm used to in the cold atmosphere of Roy Randall's surroundings.
